Juniors

ANA Rowing Club’s Junior Program is designed to cultivate enjoyment and success in rowing for young athletes. Whether aiming for personal bests, team representation, or even Olympic dreams, ANA provides tailored support to achieve these goals.

Our program offers

  • Technical coaching for sculling and ergo programs
  • Inclusive club environment with personalized attention
  • Access to WA’s largest fleet and prime training waters
  • Transition support for post-Year 12 rowing
  • National competition preparation and scholarship opportunities

All-schools racing and Pennant regattas are open to full-time students from any school, with events organised by school year group.

Term-based memberships align with school terms, offering flexibility and affordability at $200 per term, inclusive of holiday periods.

  • Wednesdays 5:00am – 7:00am
  • Sundays 6:00am – 8:00am

Opportunities for Young Rowers

Recreational Rowing
Continue to develop technique and fitness without the pressure of competition.

WA All Schools Regattas
Students compete at year levels representing their school or club.

Club Rowing
Students also have the opportunity to compete in WA Pennants Regattas and to aspire to represent ANA at National level. This is separate to the All Schools Regattas.

ANA Nationals Squad
As young rowers develop their technique and fitness there is the opportunity to participate in the ANA squad, working intensively towards representing ANA at the National level.

Talent Identification Program
For new rowers, WA Institute of Sport provides specialised coaching at the club level to fast-track school age beginners who demonstrate potential.

National Pathways Program for School Age Rowers
School age rowers are selected by WA Institute of Sport for specialised training – with a view to representing the state.
